The product consists of a mixture of polyalkylene glycol ethers and borate esters combined with highly effective additives and inhibitors, providing superior corrosion protection and preventing vapor lock formation at high temperatures. The fluid composition is designed such that its boiling point reaches significantly higher levels compared to traditional glycol ether-based brake fluids during the product's use. Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is fully compatible with other fluids meeting FMVSS 116 DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 specifications. However, to maintain the product's exceptional performance characteristics, avoid mixing it with other brake fluids. All conventional brake fluids degrade over time. It is strongly recommended to replace Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's guidelines.
